Three-time African champions Nigeria have dropped four places in the monthly rankings released by the world football governing body, Fifa.
The Super Eagles dropped four places in the latest rankings after losing 49 points (701 for February to 652 for March) from last month.
Nigeria are now ranked 45th in the world and eight in Africa.
Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia, Senegal, Cape Verde and Guinea are the seven African countries whose national teams are ranked higher than the Super Eagles.
Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia and Brazil are the top five national teams in the rankings in descending order.
Nigeria’s best position in the monthly Fifa ranking is fifth, a position the Super Eagles attained in 1994 largely on the back of a brilliant showing at the 1994 Fifa World Cup in the United States
