Carlo Ancelloti claims Manchester city's new boss Pep Guardiola will join the 'SACK CLUB'

Carlo Ancelotti has warned Pep Guardiola that he will face the sack at some point in his career, saying it is a fate that no manager can avoid forever.

The Italian is widely regarded as one of the finest football coaches in the world having won the Champions League with both AC Milan and Real Madrid.

To add to that, he has also won the Serie A, the Premier League, the FA Cup and Ligue 1, but even he has been thrown out of the job on several occasions.

Guardiola is one of the few managers who can claim to be even more highly regarded than Ancelotti and has experienced tremendous success at both Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and, more impressively, left both on his own terms.

But as he prepares to take on his biggest challenge yet at Manchester City, Ancelotti has warned him that, at some point or another, Guardiola will join him and a host of other legendary names in the "Sack Club".

"There is no manager in their career that is not sacked. (Sir Alex) Ferguson was sacked, (Marcello) Lippi sacked, (Fabio) Capello sacked, (Jose) Mourinho sacked, (Rafa) Benitez.

“The only one not sacked is Guardiola, but he’s still really young. He has plenty of time. One day he will come into our club, the Sack Club.”

Man City-target Pep Guardiola to commit future to Bayern Munich

Manchester City have been dealt a major blow in their bid to sign Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola to replace Manuel Pellegrini this summer, with the Spanish coach set to extend his stay at the Allianz-Arena with the German Bundesliga title, reports Sky Sports.

This season, Bayern Munich have all but wrapped up the league title, and are in the Champions League semi-finals. The Germans are in great shape for a successful campaign under Guardiola which has seen him once again in high demands as his current contract is yet to be extended.

And with his former Barcelona colleague Txiki Begiristain working at Manchester City, of whom Guardiola is said to have been in contact with recently, rumours have arisen about a potential move to the Etihad stadium in the summer.

They aren’t the only club interested, but the Bayern boss himself hasn’t dropped any hints that he’s looking to leave, and instead speaks about how happy he is in Germany.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was quick to play down such talk of an exit at the end of the season, and is expecting Guardiola to commit his future to the Bavarians.

He said: The aim is to extend Guardiola's contract and I think we have very good chances that he remains the coach here beyond 2016. I am not worried about (the Man city rumours). This just proves the quality of the coach.”
